Mohini was born in Germany and later imported to the United States. She was bred by "Haflingers Edlewiess", the Jurgen Krause family, who now reside in the USA. This mare is an incredible mover, much like her full sister "Malti" owned by Haflingers of Schonfeld in Wisconsin. Her powerful extension in the front is followed up with a tremendous reach from behind. She is truly one of those horses that you have to see moving to believe it!

In Dec. 2003, Mohini competed in her first combined driving event at Black Prong in Florida with Surely (started driving by us and owned by Wyldehaven Farm of Florida). The pair won their class.
Mohini was in foal to Aristo van de Rijsdijk, due in May 2004, at the time.

On May 26, 2004 Mohini had a beautiful colt, Asa VHH. This was her first colt and her natural maternal instincts were immediately apparent. Asa inherited exceptional movement from both his parents and was sold as a dressage prospect at weaning. He is now living in Arizona with his new mom who is enjoying him immensely!

In May of 2005, Mohini went to Cedar Lane Farm to be schooled under saddle in dressage. She was presented at a schooling show in two Intro level classes placing first and second against various breeds of horses. Her marks were 75.7% and 72% respectively and the judges commented on her "well connected behind" and obedience. She received 8's in submission.

Mohini has an excellent work ethic and tons of natural athleticism. She is a very willing mare and gets very attached to "her person". Her ridden dressage potential is excellent, but she would excel in other venues as well. Mohini is not a beginners horse, but is an exceptional prospect for an intermediate or advanced rider. She is very forward and moves well off your seat and legs. She is soft and responsive on the bit. Her powerful hindquarters provide enough impulsion for a fabulous ride!

On March 14, 2006 Mohini had a gorgeous filly by the imported stallion Alois. The filly is named "Malene VHH". She has her sire's elegant front end and her dam's powerful hindquarters.

Fall 2007 - Mohini is currently being trained and showing in ridden dressage. She is schooling 2nd level and loving it!

this might be the mare for you.

Here are some comments from this year's dressage tests - beautiful walk, nice mover, nice free mover with lovely walk, willing to move from behind, well balanced and through, laterally supple, active, steady on aids, clear rhythm, steady tempo, fluid. She regularly scores 8's on her walk work, 7's on gaits, 7's on canter departs and 7's on her stretchy trot circles.
